Document Set Timer Job

I had a small moment today while working with document sets and changing the cascading value settings in a library with document sets and items in.  Basically one of the fields that I wanted to be cascaded down wasn’t configured so I enabled this in the library settings for the document set and went back to look at the documents.

But none of the documents in the document set were updated with the cascading value which initially made me question if I had clicked OK or Cancel for the change.  Investigating further document sets with more than 10 documents will get the cascaded values updated with a timer job.



So if you make the change to the document set metadata then wait 15 minutes for it to cascade down to the document metadata.
